Personality: Loves to fight, always is practicing swords or kido of some sort. If the topic doesn't interest kawa, he tends to drift away. Has his quiet moments every now and again. He won't get sucked into a conversation easily, unless it is important. Perfers close range combat. Also is experienced in kido and hakuda. Is a fan of modern rock and roll.

History

Background: He was born by the river and so he was named Kawa. His mother's name was Chikayo Mintasu. His father's name was Saro Nasataru. After he was born, just like every other family, his father left. When he was seven years old, his mother was killed by a hollow running amoke. He grew up all by himself. He graduated college and grew up to be an engineer. One day back from work, he found a senbon needle on the ground. He pick it up and walk to the outskirts of the town to use it. He threw it but it missed. He kept trying and trying, until finally he threw it and it landed in the bushes. He searched for the weapon but he lost it for good. So he walked away but suddenly was attacked by a hollow. He was killed at age 28. To this day he's been training hard to become an excellent soul reaper.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE: Here is Kawa. On squad duty.In the world of the living. AGAIN. Beep Beep. A hollow showed up on his radar. He smiled. As he was making his way towards the first hollow his radar went off again. A second hollow, in the opposite direction. He kept going towards the first hollow. As he arived he began fighting the hollow. Average hollow, a few tricks up his sleave, nothing special. He fired off his shikai just for the heck of it. After he defeated the first hollow, he ventured towards the second. This one was stronger. His reishi was more condensed. He attacked the Hollow at full speed. The hollow amazingly dodged the attack. That's because it wasn't just a hollow, It was a Menos Grande Adhutcha." Well well I hit money on this one. It also explains why he had such powerful reishi composition." he said aloud. "This is assistant captain Kawa Mintasu, I have encountered a powerful menos grande, requesting back up from any nearby soul reapers." he said into his earpiece. " Yeah right, before your stupid friends make it here, They'll have to scrape you off the ground!"he boasted. The fight raged on for a while, the adhutcha was winning. His attacks were stronger, faster, and he didn't have any trouble dodging Kawa's attacks. Finally, his backup squad showed up. Three soul reapers, two of them released shikai, the other released bankai. Together they eliminated the enemy, and returned to the soul society for a report.
